Del-Tool has five vertical machining centers with a capacity up to 41 x X 22 y X 18 z. Spindle speeds up to 20,000 RPM for high speed finish machining of the mold components to aid in reducing EDM work.
This increases our ability to fine tune efficiencies for our customers by reducing lead time and cost.
The Okumba MX-40HA has spindle speeds up to 25,000 RPM with the addition of a programmable rotary positional B-Axis table with a capacity of 22 x X 24 y X 22 z.
Holding a part on a column or tombstone allows the work to pivot on the B-Axis to reach various faces in one cycle, resulting in fewer setups and accurate blends. High-pressure through the spindle coolant gives the HMC gun-drilling capabilities. The pallet changing feature aids in unattended machining.
Del-Tool has four Mitsubishi sinker EDMs with travel capacities up to 60 x, 48 y, 27 z. This gives us the ability to handle small to large molds.
Two of the EDMs are linked to a System 3R WorkPartner robotic work cell. This system allows us to utilize the 80 position electrode storage and 10 position pallet storage stations to run unattended machining 24/7.
Del-Tool has two DMG DMU 100P 5-Axis universal machining centers installed. These machines have a machining range of up to 40 x, 40 y, 40 z. Both of these machines are equipped with 18,000 RPM spindles.
These machines are capable of handling large complex parts and helps reduce EDM work. This results in time and cost savings for our customers.
Our specialized Mitsubishi EX22 Polish EDM machine gives us the capability to EDM complex optics and achieve a high surface finish right out of the machine. This gives us the ability to efficiently produce a high quality part and maintain the surface tolerances.
The carbon cutting work cell consists of three high speed machining centers: a Röders RFM 600, Röders RXP 500 and a Makino S56.
At the center of the work cell is a Systems 3R WorkMate robot. This robot attends to changing out electrodes, work pallets and cutting tools.
Del-Tool has two Wire EDM machines: a Mitsubishi FA10 with a travel of 13.7 x, 9 y, 8.6 h and a Mitsubishi FA20 with a travel of 19.6 x, 13.7 y, 11.8 h. Both of these machines have the ability to taper-cut shapes.
